Since the start of the pandemic, we’ve helped 14 people every minute get the vital one-to-one support they need. That's over 1.8 million people. Every day more people need our help - many in crisis, with nowhere else to turn.
Will you help us provide support to those who need it most?
As a charity, we rely on the kind generosity of people like you, who care about their communities, to help us maintain our service. Right now, we’re stretched to the limit with more calls coming in every day – many from people who've never had to ask for help before.
Your gift today could make a life-changing difference to someone like John, one of many thousands who faced redundancy at the start of lockdown.
“When I was made redundant, it was horrendous. It was just a bombshell” John, 54 years
When John was made redundant from his job of 29 years, he felt overwhelmed and isolated. He didn’t know where to turn. He fell behind with some of his bills and worried that he was going to lose his home. All of that changed when he contacted Citizens Advice. We helped him claim the benefits he was entitled to, get his finances back on track and stay in his own home.
“Citizens Advice saved my life at that time. It was unbelievable. There was nobody else that could have helped me” John
With your help, we can also continue to support younger people like Jack.
Jack was just 35 when serious health complications meant he had to start using a wheelchair. No longer able to access his job or even parts of his own home, Jack was at crisis point. Isolated and alone, he had no one he could turn to for help. Until he called Citizens Advice. We helped Jack access vital benefits while he looked for a new job and helped him get mobility aids installed in his home. Today, Jack is in a new job and lives independently.
