Compare gas and electricity prices
You can use our price comparison tool to compare prices from different energy suppliers.
You’ll need the name of your supplier and tariff - this will be on your energy bill.
You can get a more accurate quote if you know your annual consumption - this is the amount of gas or electricity you've used over the last year, measured in kilowatt hours (kwh). Find this on your annual statement if you have one.
You won't find as many tariffs or deals as usual - this is because many energy companies are struggling.
If you don’t find a better tariff than the one you’re already on, it’s probably best to wait until deals are available again.
If you have a non-Economy 7 ‘multi-rate’ electricity meter
You should call your chosen supplier before you switch to a single rate tariff.
Tell them you have a multi-rate meter and ask them to double-check the price and tariff you’ve seen online.
Check which type of meter you have before you start if you’re not sure.
